Fujitsu Launches New High-End FMV-Biblo Notebook Computers in Japan

- Features Mobile Pentium II 266MHz Processor and ECC Memory -

Tokyo, April 2, 1998 - Fujitsu Limited today introduced a new high-end model (FMV-6266NA8/X) of its popular FMV-BIBLO series of notebook computers featuring the industry's fastest mobile Pentium processor, 266MHz. The new BIBLO notebooks offer ECC memory and advanced system management as standard equipment and are available in Windows 95 and NT versions.

FMV-BIBLO notebooks will be marketed in Japan, with product availabitly beginning in late April. Fujitsu's new product incorporates the latest technology and takes high-speed processing, high reliability, network capabilities and user friendliness - essential to today's corporate road warriors - to a higher level.

In addition to a blazing 266MHz Pentium processor, the new notebook is equipped with a high-speed AGP bus and Ultra DMA/33-compatible 3.2GigaByte hard drive for high-speed data transmission and unprecedented processing speeds. It also boasts high-speed ECC-compatible memory (synchronous DRAM) with error detection and self-correcting functions, as well as an efficient integrated system management function (DMI standard Intel LANDesk Client Manager v3.2J) for increased reliability and productivity.

As with previous models, it comes equipped with high-speed networking functions (100BASE-TX, dual front bays for superior expandability and ease of use, and a 13.3" TFT liquid crystal (XGA) display. And with either a 24X CD-ROM (standard) or DVD-ROM drive (optional) plus AGP-compatible 3D accelerator, 3D sound source chip and high-quality PIONEER speakers, the system provides ultra-realistic 3D graphics and sound output for excellent multimedia performance.
