Tokyo, Feb. 5, 1998 --Fujitsu Limited today began marketing a new generation of its unique Pliche model of FMV-DESKPOWER PCs for the Japanese market that offers improved overall performance and greater ease-of-use in a more compact profile.
Initially released last November, the FMV-DESKPOWER Pliche features a stylish, innovative design, including multi-color replaceable speaker covers, slim-profile cabinet and built-in LCD screen. The newly released Pliche models (two models, four separate configurations) are exceptionally compact-just two-fifths the size of previous models-so they can be easily moved from room to room and placed on kitchen, living room or even portable tables.
The new models are equipped with the latest Pentium 200MHz processors with MMX technology for faster processing and more improved Internet performance, as well as a larger 2.1Gb hard drive. Also included are 40 different pre-installed software programs for household and entertainment use, including word processing, spreadsheets and Internet browser.
