World's First Free Style Voice Verification Software From Fujitsu & ANIMO
- Accepts any speech, adaptable to ANY language, no registration needed -
Tokyo, April 14, 1998 -- Fujitsu Limited and ANIMO LIMITED (President: Ichiro Hattori, Office in Yokohama, Japan) launched a new breakthrough technology for voice recognition. Called "VoiceSync," the new product is the world's first true voice verification software that can verifies voices without any pre-registering of defined words or phrases.
VoiceSync has a wide range of applications; can be used in any language environment and is adaptable to any language. VoiceSync was jointly developed by ANIMO, the first venture company formed by Fujitsu, and Israel-based R&D laboratory of Comverse Technology Inc., the major voice-mail provider in the U.S.
Starting June 1, 1998, VoiceSync will be sold to corporate customers worldwide by Fujitsu and ANIMO.
VoiceSync Functions
- Speaker Verification: Voice verification function capable of verifying the "speaker" by analyzing freely spoken speech. No pre-registering of words or phrases is required.
- Voice Search: This function enables specific voice or speaker to be searched and located even from within a very large audio database.
VoiceSync Characteristics
- VoiceSync has the accuracy of 95% with 10 seconds of voice sampling. With 60 seconds of sampling, it reaches an accuracy level of 99%.
- VoiceSync accuracy is unaffected by the speaker's voice conditions.
- VoiceSync is language independent. Verification and search is possible regardless of the language spoken by the speaker.
- VoiceSync corresponds to voices via phone lines with high accuracy.
- Since VoiceSync is a software only technology, it does not require special hardware systems and is applicable to various systems.
