Fujitsu Limited Announces Board Member Changes
Tokyo, May 27, 1997 -- Fujitsu Limited's Board of Directors today announced
the following executive personnel appointments, retirements and promotions. The changes will take effect pending approval by the 97th General Shareholders Meeting, to be held June 27, 1997.
1. New Board Director Appointments:
- Akira Takashima-
Formerly of the Japan Patent Office, will join the Fujitsu Limited Board of Directors.
- Isao Suzuki-
Currently, General Manager of Fujitsu Limited's Tokyo Regional Sales Group.
- Noboru Ogi-
Currently, Group President Computer Technology Group
2. Retirements:
- Takuma Yamamoto-
Will retire from the position of Chairman of the Board and Representative Director.
Mr. Yamamoto will assume the tentative title of Chairman Emeritus.
- Iwao Toda-
Will retire from the position of Senior Vice President. Mr. Toda will assume the position of Fellow Executive Advisor at Fujitsu Laboratories Limited.
- Seiuemon Inaba-
Will retire from the position of Member of the Board. Mr. Inaba will continue to
serve as Chairman of the Board, Fanuc Limited.
3. Board Member Promotions:
- Takamitsu Tsuchimoto-
Currently Senior Vice President, will assume the title of Executive Vice President.
- Akira Takashima-
Will assume the title of Senior Vice President.
- Yoshiro Yoshioka-
Currently Board Member, will assume the title of Senior Vice President.
- Kazunari Shirai-
Currently Board Member, will assume the title of Senior Vice President.
- Tatsuhiko Ohtaki-
Currently Board Member, will assume the title of Senior Vice President.
