Fujitsu PC Corporation's first series of products for North America are a family of feature-rich, high-performance notebooks, addressing the needs of mobile users -- from those looking for versatile multimedia functionality to those wanting an ultralight, yet full-featured system. "Our product family offers no-compromise, with a range of functions and features combined with extensive service and support options that meet the challenges faced by all types of mobile professionals around the globe."

Fujitsu PC Corporation Product Family

The key component of Fujitsu PC Corporation's first family of notebooks is the focus on engineering for mobile comfort. With this unique focus, Fujitsu PC Corporation is transcending today's standards for mobile computing.

"Mobile comfort is going beyond ergonomics and software ease-of-use," said Bert Parekh, director of product marketing at Fujitsu PC Corporation.
"Our design team is concentrating on transforming raw technologies into unique features, making Fujitsu PCs comfortable to use."

At the heart of the Fujitsu PC notebook family are Intel Pentium (R) processors, PCI bus architecture, with 12.1" to 10.4" high resolution screens powered by Lithium Ion batteries.

"The success of Intel's long-standing relationship with Fujitsu is based on working together to develop and bring to market solutions that set new standards for excellence in computing," said Stephen Nachtsheim, corporate vice president and general manager of Intel's mobile and handheld product group. "Combining Intel's Pentium processor technology with Fujitsu's focus on comfort engineering provides today's professionals with an innovative solution-mix for mobile computing."

The mobile comfort theme will be carried throughout all of Fujitsu PC Corporation's products, beginning with its first series of notebooks. The Milan notebook features a nine-cell Lithium Ion battery for added life and bridge battery technology for warm-swapping of the main battery. The Montego notebook offers a second battery option, a weight-saver option and a PC Card safety lock for added security.
