Fujitsu Names Takanobu Yoden New President & Chief Executive
Officer (Fujitsu Network Communications - Richardson, US) |
Fujitsu Network Communications, Inc., the leader in the optical
telecommunications market, announced the appointment of Takanobu
Yoden to the position of president and chief executive officer
of the company. Mr. Yoden, a seasoned, 30-year veteran of the
telecommunications industry, was formerly group senior vice
president of Fujitsu Limited's global business with responsibility
for many of the telecommunications and computing businesses in the
Americas and Europe.

Fujitsu Limited announced the immediate worldwide availability of
the Solaris 9 Operating Environment on its SPARC64 GP-based
PRIMEPOWER range of servers for business-critical computing. The
enhanced security, performance and scalability of Solaris 9 OE and
its ability to better use additional CPU resources are an excellent
match to PRIMEPOWER's highly scalable systems. The combination
will further consolidate the Solaris OE's position as the leading
operating environment in the UNIX market space.
