Statement Regarding February 27 Nikkei Article

The front-page article in the February 27 morning edition of the Nihon Keizai Shimbun regarding purported plans to build a semiconductor fabrication facility was not based on any announcement by or interview with Fujitsu.

Taking into account various internal and external factors, we are continuing to explore the possibility of constructing a new 300mm semiconductor fab. However, no final decisions have been made with respect to details such as location and scale. We will make a formal announcement after such decisions are made.
