Fujitsu Announces The SolarisTM 9 Operating Environment on Its PRIMEPOWER ServersEnhanced security, performance and scalability features on hardware platform is ideal combination for business-critical computing environments
Tokyo, June 12, 2002-Fujitsu Limited today announced the immediate worldwide availability of the Solaris(TM) 9 Operating Environment (OE) on its SPARC64 GP-based PRIMEPOWER range of servers for business-critical computing. The enhanced security, performance and scalability of Solaris 9 OE and its ability to better use additional CPU resources are an excellent match to PRIMEPOWER's highly scalable systems. The combination will further consolidate the Solaris OE's position as the leading operating environment in the UNIX® market space.
