Fujitsu Launches Global Release of INTERSTAGE V4 Software Platform

Tokyo, November 6, 2001--- Fujitsu Limited announced today the global launch of INTERSTAGE V4, the latest version of its software platform for building web-based corporate information systems.

INTERSTAGE has already established itself as the most popular platform of its kind in Japan, with 11,000 installed servers as of September 2001. Fujitsu will aggressively market the new V4 English edition in markets around the world.

In order to accommodate the diverse and wide-ranging needs of its international customers, Fujitsu is expanding its INTERSTAGE Partner Program*1, which has already been in practice in Japan, to a global level, providing the opportunity to work with a larger number of partners.

In addition, to bring INTERSTAGE's proven integration model - with its high levels of reliability, scalability and availability - to the global market, Fujitsu is establishing four new INTERSTAGE Centers of Excellence. To be located in North America, Europe, Oceania and Southeast Asia, the Centers will create an extensive support system dedicated to INTERSTAGE around the world.
