Tokyo, November 15 -- Fujitsu Limited today announced that it
will exhibit a wide variety of its advanced IT and communications
solutions and products at TELECOM ASIA 2000 (Booth 2401), which
will take place in Hong Kong from December 4-9.
Under the theme of "Global IT Solutions: IT's all @ Fujitsu"
introduced at last year's TELECOM 99 in Geneva, the exhibit
positions Fujitsu as an ideal partner to help customers build new
businesses in the Internet era. Specifically, the following
six solutions areas will be highlighted:
- Internet Service Solutions
Solutions that combine Smart Cards, distributed call centers,
EC/EDI, content management, etc., focusing on the interactive
cyber city services featured on @nifty, Japan's largest Internet
service provider.
- Telecom Service Solutions
One-stop business process solutions, including subscriber
management, billing processing and consulting for carriers and
ISPs.
- IP Network Service Solutions
Solutions utilizing middleware for such applications as network
element management, IP operations management and policy-based
network management.
- Wired & Wireless Solutions
Solutions for carriers' network systems, including Fujitsu's
pioneering 1.76 Tbps optical wavelength division multiplexing
(WDM) transmission system -- the world's fastest and largest-
capacity practical-level WDM system, subscriber transmission
system, microwave radio systems, next-generation mobile systems
(IMT-2000) and switching routers.
- Server Platform Solutions
Web server and Internet data center solutions using Fujitsu's
PRIMERGY series IA thin servers (only 4.2cm thick) and its
PRIMEPOWER series of large-scale Unix servers.
- Advanced Technology Solutions
Electronic device solutions using high resolution PDPs (42 inch
and the world's first commercial 37 inch models), the world's
first commercially available high performance nonvolatile memory
FRAM cards and other electronic devices for solutions such as
mobile terminals.
Fujitsu's chairman, Tadashi Sekizawa will deliver a keynote
address at a session called "Asian Mobile/ Electronic Commerce:
Key Success Factors" at 9:30 am on December 6th.
