Tokyo, April 10, 2002 - Fujitsu Limited today announced that it will serve the eclipse.org open source tools community through participation on the Eclipse Board, adding unique breadth and depth of knowledge and experience in developer tools. eclipse.org is an open source community that develops the Eclipse Platform, a leading open-source environment for integrating development tools.

The Eclipse community brings together the broad participation of tool developers and tool providers needed to establish, refine and promote high-quality shared software technology. Ronald Alepin, General Manager, Enterprise Products, for US-based Fujitsu Software Corporation, will represent Fujitsu on the Eclipse Board. By taking a leadership position within eclipse.org, Fujitsu will be able to contribute its extensive knowledge and experience in developer tools to improve the development experience for a broad range of software projects.
